Joachim Löw has recently announced the Germany squad for the upcoming European Championship Qualifiers against Poland and the Republic of Ireland. Germany won their first qualifier against Scotland 2-1 in early September.

Some notable inclusions include Karim Bellarabi who is set to win his first cap. Max Kruse and Skhodran Mustafi - the shock inclusions in the World Cup squad - have once again been called by Löw, and finally VfB Stuttgart defender Antonio Rüdiger who has had an impressive start to the season could win his 3rd international cap.

Here is the squad in full;

Goalkeepers: Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich), Roman Weidenfeller (Borussia Dortmund), Ron-Robert Zieler (Hannover)

Defenders: Jerome Boateng (Bayern Munich), Erik Durm (Borussia Dortmund), Matthias Ginter (Borussia Dortmund), Mats Hummels (Borussia Dortmund), Shkodran Mustafi (Valencia), Antonio Rudiger (Stuttgart), Sebastian Rudy (Hoffenheim)

Midfielders: Karim Bellarabi (Bayer Leverkusen), Julian Draxler (Schalke), Toni Kroos (Real Madrid), Christoph Kramer (Borussia Monchengladbach), Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich), Mesut Ozil (Arsenal), Lukas Podolski (Arsenal), Andre Schurrle (Chelsea)

Forwards: Mario Gotze (Bayern Munich), Max Kruse (Borussia Monchengladbach)

Once again, it looks likely that Löw will set up without an orthodox striker, with the only true center forward - Mario Gomez - missing out through injury. Other notable absentees include Marco Reus, Sami Khedira, Benedikt Höwedes and finally Bastian Schweinsteiger. Germany will also have to cope without veterans Miroslav Klose, Phillip Lahm and Per Mertesacker who all retired after this summer's World Cup victory.

Two wins from the two games would see Germany in a powerful position heading into the mid-way stages of qualifying.
