Another match, another win. Things could not be going better for 'Gladbach fans, but today they celebrated breaking a club record; notching their 18th match in a row without losing. Travelling to Cyprus in search of a win to keep them top of Group A, the German club were not disappointed as they ran out comfortable winners.

As expected, the Germans were the better side in the early stages, peppering the home side's goal with shots, Thorgan Hazard playing a huge role in going forward. Just after half an hour, Apollon managed to record their first real chance as Mulder's effort was thwarted by Yann Sommer. Camel Meriem then saw his effort whistle past the top left corner five minutes before half time, topping off what was an enthralling first period with both sides having opportunities, neither finding the net.

Half Time: Apollon Limassol 0-0 Borussia Mönchengladbach: A perfect start for the home team holding out the high flying Germans while looking good whilst attacking also.

Unfortunately for Apollon, Favre's men came out for the 2nd half with a point to prove, spending the majority of the early parts of the 2nd half in their opposition's half. The pressure was relieved and Mönchengladbach fans could breathe a sigh of relief on 56 minutes when Thorgan Hazard, who was wonderful all game, found Raffael in the box and the Brazilian made no mistake from close range. 20 minutes before the end, Hazard clipped the bar with a brilliant effort from 25 yards as the away side searched for that all important 2nd goal. Apollon continued to ask questions as Thuram headed close in the 81st minute but the Cypriot club could not find the back of the net. Finally, in stoppage time, Borussia Möchengladbach had their 2nd thanks to the substitute, Patrick Herrmann, the 23-year old cooly slotting it into the bottom left corner.

Full Time: Apollon Limassol 0-2 Borussia Mönchengladbach: Favre's side remain top of Group A and are now unbeaten in 18, as mentioned before. Not too many teams in Europe are in better form than this 'Gladbach side.
