Thomas Shaaf's Eintracht Frankfurt have the seemingly impossible task of halting Pep Guardiola and Bayern Munich's dominance - a superiority that has been evident both in Europe and domestically - on Saturday. With qualification to the last 16 of the Champions League campaign as group winners secured, the Bavarians will expect to push their lead in the Bundesliga over the coming months.

"We've played well in our matches and is good for confidence"

- Franck Ribery

Bayern's players are overflowing with the positive energy and confidence that only comes from being in such a rich vein of form. With the absence of Arjen Robben against AS Roma midweek, Franck Ribery took over the reins as Bayern saw off the Italian side 2-0. He had this to say about his involvement and looking ahead to the rest of the season: "It is always a positive [to be fit and playing]," Ribery said. "It is good for your mindset but we have plenty of good players and there are a lot of games to play. It is a long season. I am feeling good at the moment though and it is good for my rhythm to play from the start. We've played well [in the Champions League] and won our matches and it is good for confidence. Hopefully we can carry it on in the Bundesliga now."

Indeed, with usual rivals Jurgen Klopp's Dortmund suffering a horrific start to the campaign - stuck in the relegation zone and already 17 points adrift of Bayern - the title seems already wrapped up after ten games for Guardiola's side. Both Wolfsburg and Borrussia Monchengladbach have made impressive starts to the season and are breathing down the Barvarians' necks, but you would suspect them both to fall off the pace as the season progresses. Still unbeaten in the current campaign, Bayern will be looking  to continue their charge to bigger glories when they visit Frankfurt this weekend.

"Anything can happen"

- Haris Seferovic

Frankfurt are having a rough time of things this season, currently evidenced by the fact they are on a four-game losing streak in all competitions. With just 12 points from their opening ten games, SGE need to right their problems - and fast. They come into this fixture after a 1-0 loss to Hannover 96 - a last-minute own goal by defender Alexander Madlung breaking the hearts of the fans and condeming them to another Bundesliga defeat. Despite the lack of form, defender Haris Seferovic has remained positive, suggesting that to get a result against Bayern is not such a ridiculous suggestion: "I believe every side can get a result against Bayern. You have to make sure you're solid at the back and do well on the counter. If you do that, anything can happen."

Schaaf will look to in-form striker Alexander Meier as the main threat for the hosts as they prepare to host Bayern on Saturday. The German has netted four goals in as many matches, and is in fine fettle as he looks to add to his total of six goals in the Bundesliga this season. Bayern, however, have an abudance of attacking quality in their side, and will their 23 goals in the Bundesliga so far looks ominious for the hosts this weekend.

The German champions Bayern will be without David Alaba, who suffered a major knee injury midweek against Roma, and as such is sit to be out for the rest of 2014. Losing the in-form defender is a major blow to Guardiola's side. Pep Reina is still out with a calf problem, and both Bastian Schweinsteiger and Thiago Alcantara remain sidelined.
