A magnificent 4-0 victory over Hoffenheim secured yet another win for the seemingly unstoppable Bayern Munich side, who now have a certain club legend available for selection once more.

Pep Guardiola's men marched on again, securing another important win against one of the Bundesliga's form teams. The victory gives Bayern a sizeable seven point gap at the Bundesliga summit: "We had problems with our build-up play in the first 15 minutes and we carelessly gave the ball away too often. But then we switched things around." Despite dominating for large periods, the Spaniard was humble in regards to earning the win, "I think 4-0 is too big a win. The result doesn’t reflect what happened on the pitch. But I’m very pleased after the international break. It’s three more points to us.”

Hoffenheim coach Markus Gisdol echoed Guardiola's statement, in terms of the scoreline: "The score of 4-0 sounds bad, but we had a good go at hurting Bayern and we caused them a few problems within the scope of our resources." he said, but admitted that conditions have to be perfect to beat the Spaniard's side, ”If you want to come away with anything from Munich, it all has to come together. And it didn’t all come together for us today. We didn’t strike at the decisive moments.”

Goalscorer Arjen Robben added: "We didn’t start the second half well. We forgot to play football and Hoffenheim applied even more attacking pressure. That’s when you have to retain possession, but we didn’t do it particularly well.” Mario Götze also scored a very impressive goal and was keen to emphasise the importance of his fitness in regards to form, "I’m feeling good, I’m in good shape, I’m fit and I’m up for playing football. That’s the decisive thing. The rest follows automatically. I’m delighted we’ve taken the points today and that we’re still up there at the top. That’s the priority, and hopefully we can keep it up.”

Andreas Beck, Hoffenheim skipper, who also said the score-line was out of kilter to their performance: "After you’ve lost 4-0, it sounds a bit odd when you talk about us having a good game. But it still felt okay out there on the pitch. We often got our tackles in, apart from the last 15 minutes of the first half when we weren’t as aggressive.”

"I got those goosebumps." beamed a returning Bastian Schweinsteiger, who was brought on as a second-half substitute. "It really touched my heart, it's nice to be welcomed like this. Such moments you never forget." Guardiola paid tribute to one of the greatest players of his generation, "I realised how important it is for this club." A start against Manchester City in the Champions League may be out of the question, but with the currently injury woes in central-midfield it is a massive boost for the Bavarian giants to have him back.
