FC Köln and FC Augsburg meet on Saturday afternoon in the RheinEnergieStadion, Köln, in a game where both teams are in very different runs of form.

FC Köln are currently 12th in the Bundesliga having won just one of their last four league games. They have scored just thirteen league goals with only Hamburg scoring less (8). Their home form has been particularly poor with one win from their six games and just three goals.

Köln will go into this game without Mathias Lehmann, Kazuki Nagasawa and Patrick HelmesLehmann has been having a good season in the centre of midfield and will be a big loss. Manager, Peter Stöger will be looking for goals from top scorer, Anthony Ujah and solid defensive displays from Jonas Hector, Mergim Mavraj and their highly rated goalkeeper, Timo Horn if die Geißböcke are to get a positive result.

Augsburg find themselves 4th in the Bundesliga having won seven and lost six of their opening thirteen games. They have won four of their last five games including winning their last three in a row. Their away form hasn't been as impressive and they have won just two of their seven games away from the SGL Arena

They will be missing a few players this weekend with Marvin Hitz, Tim Matavz, Shawn Parker, Ronny Philp and Jan Moravek all likely to miss out. Hitz and Matavz will be the most notable absentees.

Augsburg have a well balanced squad with Abdul Rahman Baba the most impressive player so far this season. The twenty year old left back has been sublime but he has been well supported with Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker, Ragnar Klavan, Raul Bobadilla, Tobias Werner and Paul Verhaegh the stand outs.

Augsburg are undoubtedly the better side but they have struggled away from home. Köln have had their own problems at home however and both sides will be feeling they can take the three points.
