Artur Sobiech has suffered a partial rupture of the Syndesmosis in his left leg. The injury was discovered after an MRI scan on Monday morning in Hanover.

The Polish striker picked up the injury in Saturday's home Bundesliga match against VfL Wolfsburg. Sobiech will be out for the next few weeks. The injury will be treated in a conservative manner. He doesn't require an operation. To help with recovery he was fitted with a protective boot this morning.

The injury occurred at 3-1 against Wolfsburg on Saturday after Sobiech collided with an opponent. The forward solidered through the pain after he was the final sub to come on prior to his injury.

The injury means that the Pole will miss the remaining fixtures in the Hindrunde against Bremen (A), Augusburg (H) and finally Freiburg (A).

Sobiech has just one goal in fourteen appearances this season; he is slacking behind striking partner Joselu who has four this calendar season. 96 currently sit 9th in the Bundesliga, just five points off third. However, Paderborn sit 10th just two points behind the Lower Saxony club.
