Holger Badstuber is on his way back from yet another injury.

The 25-year-old defender finally made his return this season, after around twenty months out of action with ACL tears. His return was well-timed, with Javi Martinez suffering the exact same injury in the DFL-Supercup against Borussia Dortmund. Unfortunately for Badstuber, his return was short lived. He picked up a thigh muscle tear in the win over VfB Stuttgart, on Matchday Three, something he is only just returning from. However, Monday's session was a big step in the right direction.

Along with the Bavarian's fitness and conditioning coach Holger Broich, the defender took part in a 30-minute drill to improve his fitness and get a feel for the ball again, before going for another job for a further half hour. Badstuber will continue this training and recovery programme over the coming weeks, although no date has yet been set as to when he can return to full-team training and then back into the matchday squad.
