BVB's goalkeeper Mitchell Langerak spoke to the official Bundesliga website about form, Roman Weidenfeller and his thoughts ahead of this weekend.

"Against Hertha, I think we definitely need to get the three points to haul ourselves a little bit further up the table."

Talking after their 1-1 draw with Anderlecht, the Australian was disappointed not to have taken the three points: "Obviously it would have been better to win the game and keep things at 1-0, but unfortunately they scored the equaliser." However, the draw did mean that BVB topped Group D, "It's a little disappointing, but our job here today was to come first in the group. We've achieved that, so we're quite happy."

Attentions soon turned to the main question surrounding the Westphalians and who is first choice 'keeper, "On Friday in the Bundesliga, we changed things up just for the game and also for tonight. I'm not sure how things are going to go in the future." commented Langerak, who is determined to put in the hard yards, "I'm not too sure, but all I can do is to keep training and working, and when I get the chance to play take it with two hands."

When asked about his friendship with Weidenfeller, he admitted that both were got on well, "Yeah, of course we are. Roman and I have known each other for four or five years and we've always been good friends on and off the pitch and that continues to be the case. We've spoken in the last couple of days and he's wished me well. He's a good guy and we get on really well."

Langerak then spoke about the Bundesliga and the need for a quick turnaround, "For us, in the Bundesliga we need to continue to collect points. We haven't had the best season so far in the Bundesliga, so points on the road would be important. Against Hertha, I think we need to definitely get the three points to haul ourselves a little bit further up the table."

"Following Friday's game in that we won and obviously tonight, I think we're all very happy that we've put two games together." he said, with Borussia Dortmund in fourteenth, "Hopefully we can build some momentum pushing forward, but they're difficult games until the Christmas break. It's important that we continue to play well and pick up points."

Finally, Langerak sympathised with his fellow stopper, "Of course I know how hard it is when you're on the bench, but like I said I'm not too sure if it's going to continue or how things are going to go. Maybe Roman plays this weekend, maybe I play. We'll see how we go."
