After a 0-1 win in Fürth, RB Leipzig's striking problems got even worse, with there seemingly no end to the injury list.

Croatian forward Ante Rebic started his first game for the Bulls on Friday evening, only for the on-loan striker to pick up an injury in the dying minutes. The diagnosis was made on Saturday and it was an unfortunate one for Rebic; six weeks out with a tear in his right thigh muscle.

This was not the news Leipzig needed, albeit so close to the winter break. Terrence Boyd recently underwent surgery on a torn ACL and Yussuf Poulsen has also been plagued by a thigh problem. Daniel Frahn has returned after a suspension, though Alex Zorninger will be hoping Poulsen can take part on Wednesday evening.

Another worry for Leipzig is that of Rani Khedira, who went off with a dead leg in the same game. The East German side are hoping that after 'intensive treatment', he'll be fit to face VfR Aalen on Wednesday. Zorninger's side are currently fifth in the 2.Bundesliga, with two games left until the teams break for Winter.
