Bayer Leverkusen's 30-year-old forward Stefan Kiessling has insisted that a draw at home to fellow top four candidates Borussia Monchengladbach is not good enough.

The number 11 has scored twice this season but said that the 1-1 draw his side earned against 4th placed Gladbach.

Kiessling got the assist for Leverkusen's only goal of the match and said: "If you look at the chances then I think it was fair as they had good opportunities on the break, but I think we did more in the game, so a 1-1 at home is not enough."

The 6'2" tall forward had two shots in the highly anticipated encounter but neither were successful leaving Leverkusen with just a point at home, missing the chance to move closer to Woflsburg as the Hindrude nears.

He said there has been a consistent problem all season in relation to shutting out games, "We were punished because we weren't able to put the result in the bag when we were clearly superior.

"We've had this problem all season and if we knew how to resolve it, we would have done that by now."

Bayer Leverkusen face Hoffenheim on Wednesday night while Borussia Moncengladbach play relegation candidates Werder Bremen.
