Agent of VfL Wolfsburg midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has dismissed reports linking him with a move to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

His agent, Patrick De Koster told German television channel, Sport1: “I never said there had been contact with Bayern.

“There’s been no contact with Bayern at all and no other contact with any other club either. Kevin has played a great season so far with Wolfsburg and it’s only normal that other clubs are watching him, but nobody has spoken to me.

“I have great respect for Wolfsburg and I thank Klaus Allofs (Director of Sport) for giving Kevin the chance when he was not in a good situation with Chelsea and could not play.”

The 23-year old Belgian international has been the inspiration in a Wolfsburg side managed by Dieter Hecking which sees the club from Lower Saxony rise to second in the Bundesliga.

“We can only thank Wolfsburg,” De Koster added. “He signed a new contract until 2019 with them in January and after a good World Cup, he’s been in good form for Wolfsburg.

“Naturally he is only thinking about Wolfsburg. Kevin only wants to stay here.”

De Bruyne has been in fine form this season, scoring three goals in the Europa League which has helped them progress to the knockout stages.

The midfielder also has three goals to his name in the Bundesliga, having also created 10 goals in the Bundesliga.
