Eintracht Frankfurt's stand in goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald is wanted by Werder Bremen, but there is debate as to whether he'll stay or not.

"At the moment we see the transfer does not make sense. If he leaves us, we need an alternative and it must also be fair in an economical sense," said Bruno Hübner, Frankfurt sporting director.

The dilemma of whether to sell or keep is what faces the Eagles currently, as Wiedwald's deal runs out in the summer. It's been confirmed that Bremen have launched a €350,000 bid for the goalkeeper.

Thomas Schaaf's side could afford to let him go; with Kevin Trapp returning from injury and Timo Hildebrand and new signing Emil Balayev occupying supporting roles, it means that there are three other goalkeepers already at the club.

It remains, unclear in regards to his future, but Wiedwald himself has spoken out on the matter, "Bremen is my home, my family lives there, my girlfriend is from there. It would be nice to play there, but Eintracht is my club."

This will certainly be a transfer-saga to keep an eye on over the next few days and weeks, especially with Bremen's defensive problems.
