In the mist of heavy speculation regarding Marco Reus with a move away from Signal Iduna Park Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has rejected claims that Marco Reus could leave the club for Real Madrid.

Spanish media have indicated that Real are ready to activate a €25million release clause in Reus' contract.

"You know, I've been confronted with this question about Reus' future for years now," Zorc told Bild.

He has been struggling with ankle problems this season, his most recent absence kept him out of action since November, yet he has scored six goals in just 11 appearances in 2014-15. Reus missed the German successful World Cup with damaged ankle ligaments in the World Cup warm up match against Armenia.

"Almost every week I hear about such rumours. There's no new developments, we want to continue working with Marco Reus for the long haul."

Earlier in the week, Reus’ agent came out claiming that rumours of a five-year deal agreed with Real Madrid are 'nonsense'. 'Blatant nonsense'.
