Nigeria international striker Brown Ideye is set to join Bundesliga side Hamburg SV from Barclays Premier League outfit West Bromwich Albion. Ideye is West Brom’s record signing, after he joined the Baggies from Ukrainian Premier League club Dynamo Kyiv for £10 million in the summer.

The striker has failed to settle in to his new surroundings, managing to score only once in twelve games. New boss Tony Pulis is keen to let Ideye have his chance at the Baggies, but only after a spell away from the club on loan.

The club, however, are only looking for a permanent deal. HSV, who have only scored nine goals themselves this term, will be eagerly wanting a new front-man; with Ideye's track record at Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev and French club Sochaux, he may just be the player they are looking for. Joe Zinnbauer's men urgently need reinforcements up front and Ideye could be the answer to their problems.
