Karlsruher SC striker Rouwen Hennings has extended his deal with the club until 2017.

The 27-year-old was more than happy to extend at the Wildparkstadion, "I feel very good within the team and the club. In addition, we are also very happy in our private lives here in Karlsruhe."

Hennings has been with the side since 2012 and has made 43 appearances for Markus Kauczinski's side. He's scored an impressive 15 goals in that time, while setting up a further seven for his team-mates.

Sporting director Jens Todt was equally happy with his decision to extend, "With his footballing qualities, his strong will and his importance within the team, that all means Rouwen is a hugely important player for us. We are very pleased that he will continue to score goals in the Wildpark."

Karlsruhe are occupying second place in the 2.Bundesliga after the winter break. They'll be keen to continue their excellent form when they return to action against Fortuna Düsseldorf on February 8th.
