SpVgg Unterhaching's goalkeeper Michael Zetterer has moved to Werder Bremen, details of the fee and contract length are not yet known.

The Germany under-20 stopper was a virtual ever-present for Unterhaching this season, making 19 appearances for the 3.Liga club.

He made his debut for them at just 18 and a year later he has now made the leap to Germany's elite.

Bremen sporting director Thomas Eichin was over the moon with the deal, "He is one of the biggest German goalkeepeing talents.

It's one of those situations that arise on the transfer market and you simply can not let it pass."

"I am very happy that such a big club like Werder Bremen have given me a chance to take my next step in professional football," added an ecstatic Zetterer.

SpVgg President Manfred Schwabl was equally proud, saying "we did not want to spoil it", in reference to the move.

Zetterer will become Werder's third choice 'keeper, after Richard Strebinger moved to Jahn Regensburg on loan.
