Hanover have signed former player Didier Ya Konan until the end of the season with the option for an extra 12 months. He recently played for Ittihad FC in Saudi Arabia.

He scored a respectable 45 goals in 153 games during his first stint at the club during 2009-2014. During his time in Saudia Arabia he scored 4 goals in 6 games. He has also played for Rosenborg in Norway and ASEC Mimosas in his native country.

Ya Konan said: "I am coming home. It is a great feeling, I am proud to be wearing the Hanover shirt again and playing in front of such fans."

Hannover coach, Tayfun Korkut, added: "We will work with him on his fitness and then we will have an additional, first-class alternative for our attack."

The Ivory Coast international could make his debut at the weekend, when the Reds travel to the Veltins Arena next to take on FC Schalke 04 after the winter break.
