3. Bundesliga side Dynamo Dresden have announced the free signing of Robert Andrich from Hertha Berlin II. The 20 year old central midfielder joins until the summer of 2017 and has been handed the number 33 shirt.

He made 8 appearances this season for Hertha Berlin's reserve side in the Regionalliga Nordost and chipped in with one goal.

"I am very excited about my move to Dresden," Robert Andrich said on Monday. He continued: "For me it's a dream, to spend my future with this historic club in one of the most atmospheric stadiums in Germany. I'm going to give everything to help my new team achieve our goals."

"With Robert, we were able to sign a player who brings similar qualities as Mathias Fetsch," said Dynamo Sports CEO Ralf Minge on Monday. "He's versatile and is capable in the middle or even in the attack. In the junior ranks of Hertha BSC he was able to benefit from very good technical and tactical training. We are pleased that we were able to convince him of our chosen path."

Dresden currently occupy fifth place in the 3. Bundesliga and are three points adrift the play off places and a further two off first placed Arminia Bielefeld. Andrich's first chance to impress will come this weekend when Dresden host Rot-Weiß Erfurt on Matchday 24.
