VfL Bochum have competed the signing of Fulham midfielder, Thomas Eisfeld on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The 22-year old German has only started twice for the Championship side this season, whilst making five substitute appearances.

Eisfeld started his career at Bundesliga giants, Borussia Dortmund before securing a move to Arsenal in 2012. The German couldn’t break into the first team at the Emirates, failing to make a single league appearance, before being shipped off to Fulham last year.

“Thomas Eisfeld is an exciting player,” Bochum Sporting Director, Christian Hochstätter told the clubs website. “He can be used in various positions, both through the middle and the outside.”

The midfielder then added: “I am glad and happy to be here again. The talks were the staff at VfL were very positive, and so I made my decision pretty quickly.”

Eiesfeld will wear the number 23 jersey for Bochum, who resume their 2.Bundesliga campaign on Saturday when they travel to the capital, to face Union Berlin.
