St. Pauli head coach Ewald Lienen is under investigation from the Deutschen Fußball-Bund, following comments made in the aftermath of his side's 0-1 defeat to Greuther Fürth.

The 61-year-old had said that, "We were presented with an arrogance in our own stadium that I have rarely experienced." This was only one of a number of things that Lienen commented on, as he lambasted the officials from Monday night's loss.

Martin Petersen had awarded the hosts with a penalty in the 16th minute, after Waldemar Sobota's cross was blocked by Benedikt Röcker's arm. However, after discussions with linesman Arno Blos, the decision was overturned and Lienen's side were understandably livid.

Furthermore, he was also in constant disagreement over a number of other decisions and the length of stoppage time.

It is expected that he will face a fine and possibly even a ban, the last thing the 2. Bundesliga strugglers needed. St. Pauli are currently bottom of the division, three points from safety.
