Schalke are looking to end a poor run of form in the Bundesliga with a win over Werder Bremen tomorrow.

They look to extend their unbeaten run over Bremen to 10 games dating back to 2010.  In their first meeting of the season at the Weserstadion in September, Bremen held the Miners in check for the first-half, but it didn't take much long after halftime for Schalke to get their engines going.

Just three minutes after the break, youngster Max Meyer broke the deadlock put the visitors ahead 1-0, and once again three minutes after Meyer struck. Neustadter put one home to make it 2-0 giving Bremen a mountain to climb if they wanted to get back into the match.

Werder were looking for a way to get back into the game, but a goal from Tranquillo Barnetta killed off any chances of a comeback.  At that point, that win sent the Miners to 13th and knocked Werder into the relegation zone.

Schalke, managed by Roberto di Matteo, are currently fourth in the league but are tied on points with fifth-place Augsburg and are only two points ahead of sixth-placed Bayer Leverkusen.

Schalke's last game was a 2-0 loss at home in the Champions League to Real Madrid.  In their last five league games, Schalke have picked eight points, which is disappointing to say the least, after drawing at home against Hamburg and losing to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Werder Bremen, manage by Viktor Skrypnyk, are eighth in the league table. The Green-Whites, are currently in the best form of anyone in the league picking up a maximum 15 points from their last five games which includes a couple of 2-1 wins over Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen.

The signs are all pointing for Werder to take this one against a Schalke team in a poor run of form, but the Miners are keen to followup their 3-0 win and continue their unbeaten run.  The slight edge will go to Schalke hear as they should take it in a shootout 3-2.
