With Champions League places up for grabs, Borussia Mönchengladbach will be eager to pick up all three points at home to struggling Hannover 96.

Currently sitting fourth, a win for Mönchengladbach will see them move up to third, two points above Bayer Leverkusen.

The visitors, Hannover, are only four points above the relegation places, so they will be looking to extend that gap to ease some of the pressure of themselves.

In team news, Gladbach defensive pair Alvaro Dominguez and Martin Stranzl, and midfielder Christoph Kramer, are all in contention to start after recovering from minor knocks. Head coach Lucien Favre says he will make a decision on right-back Julian Korb at the end of Saturday's training session.

For the visitors, Andre Hofmann returned to team training this week after a lengthy lay-off but isn't quite match-fit. Leonardo Bittencourt and club captain Lars Stindl are suspended, with left-sided specialist Edgar Prib set to come into the side following last weekend's 3-1 defeat at home to Bayern.

Lucian Favre knows his side have to maintain high standards if they are to stay in the top four: "We'll need to put in a good performance. Teams in a situation like this are especially dangerous - we know that from personal experience. Last year we didn’t win any of our first seven games of the Rückrunde. Fine margins make the difference and it's the same for Hannover." He said.

Despite their current league standing, Hannover are positive about getting a good result from Borussia-Park, Manager Tayfun Korkut said: "We're confident and we've got a good opportunity to go there and get something from the game. It will be important to get a good result to give us all a lift. We'll be up against a team that has some great individual players."

The stats suggest it will be a comfortable home win, with the Foals winning their last five league home games and Hannover losing their last eight Bundesliga games and desperately short of confidence going into the game.

Possible line-ups:

Gladbach: Sommer - Korb, Stranzl, Jantschke, Wendt - Kramer, G. Xhaka - Herrmann, Hazard - Raffael - M. Kruse

Hannover: Zieler - Joao Pereira, Marcelo, C. Schulz, Albornoz - Schmiedebach, S. Sane - Briand, Kiyotake, Prib - A. Sobiech
