Team News:

Italian Ciro Immobile is a doubt for Borussia Dortmund following a knock he sustained during their 0:1 defeat to Bayern Munich on Saturday evening aggravated ligament damage which he suffered during the international break a week earlier.  According to Jürgen Klopp, Marco Reus should be available after he said during a press conference “He [Reus] shouldn’t have any problems”.

Markus Gisdol will be without defender David Abraham who is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after he suffered a torn adductor during their devastating 1:4 defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach at the weekend.  Goal scorer in Hoffenheim’s 9:0 demolition in Round 1 of Uhlenhorster SC Paloma , Ermin Bicakcic is set to be his replacement.

Pre Match Comments:

Jürgen Klopp: "Our league position isn't yet comfortable enough to allow the season to peter out. The Cup is unbelievably important for us. We haven't been clinical enough in front of goal, but we don't need to turn every stone over looking for an answer; we just need to build on what's already there and improve next time out."

Markus Gisdol: "For me, Dortmund are favourites. They've been near their old selves in the Rückrunde and are very difficult to defend against. Saying that, we want to reach the semi-finals and are really looking forward to the game. It will be important to keep their attackers under control right from the start."
