Team News:

Dieter Hecking’s squad are all fully fit and his squad depth will need to be used to the fullest as they’re still in the running for the Bundesliga, Europa League and the DFB Pokal. Hecking’s side were dealt a huge boost as Maximillian Arnold has returned to the squad following back trouble which saw him side-lined for two matches

Streich team also has a clean bill of health as all of his players are fit to play.  Returning first-teamers Oliver Kempf and Mats Möller Dahli featured in Freiburg’s reserve match this past weekend.

Dieter Hecking: "We're going to have to play these 90 minutes the way we played against Stuttgart in the second half. If we play the way we did in the first half again, then there are going to be some stern words to be said."

Christian Streich: "We know it's going to be difficult, but there can only be one winner in a cup match and we want that to be us. There's always a chance. It's fantastic that the lads have made it as far as the quarter-finals."
