Paderborn have lost five of their last six games, failing to score a single goal in their six games. Their drought extends for a unbelievable period making over 551-minutes without a goal.

The only point Augsburg had gained in their last three games came in a 0-0 draw with Roberto Di Matteo’s Schalke last weekend.

Benteler Arena is becoming a fortress for the away-sides rather than Paderborn. They are with out a win in their last SEVEN home games, losing four and drawing the other three. As well as that, their home fans haven’t seen a goal at home in 419 minutes. Their last victory came in November against Hertha Berlin.

Team News

Paderborn will be without Thomas Bertels, Marvin Ducksch and Mahir Saglik are all out injured for the hosts with the other absentee being Patrick Ziegler who is suspended for the visit of Ausgburg. With these absences, Rafa and Christian Strohdiek battle it out for the centre back spot and Lukas Rupp is set to replace the suspended Ziegler.

Augsburg will travel to Paderborn without three players indefinitely, Jan Moravek, Dominik Reinhardt and Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker with Halil Altintop as a doubt. There is a boost for Markus Weinzierl as Abdul Rahmann Baba returns to the line up at left-back. Bayern loanee Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg is in contention to start with Altintop being injured.
