Borussia Dortmund may turn to exercising the buy back clause in Koray Günter's Galatasaray contract if Mats Hummels is to leave the club this summer.

Günter only moved to Turkey last January for €2.5 million but with the very real threat of World Cup winner Mats Hummels moving on, Dortmund may choose to exercise the €7 million buy-back clause in his Galatasaray contract.

This term Günter has made 11 Turkish super lig fixtures and five Turkish cup appearances as Galatasaray push for their 20th Turkish league champions crown and 16th Turkish cup success. The 20-year old centre half is of dual nationality and played at under-16 level for Turkey before opting to play for his country of birth, Germany, also only at youth level so far.

In his first spell at Signal Iduna Park he made one senior appearance while being an important figure in the clubs reserve side, Borussia Dortmund II in the German third tier.
