FSV Frankfurt are lining up SV Sandhausen's Manuel Riemann and VfR Aalen's Daniel Bernhardt as replacements for veteran 'keeper Patric Klandt.

The German is widely expected to join Eintract Frankfurt when his contract runs out in the summer.

Klandt has been at die Bornheimer since 2008 and has made 238 appearances (correct at the time of writing) in the period. But when his current deal at the Frankfurter Volksbank Stadion runs out in the summer, the 31-year old looks destined to make the short move across Germany's commercial city to the Commerzbank Arena and act as back up for die Adler number one, Kevin Trapp.

As a result, Benno Möhlmann's men are in need of a shot-stopper and look to have turned to Manuel Riemann or Daniel Bernhardt to fill Klandt's boots.

Statistically Riemann has been one of the best in the 2. Bundesliga, keeping nine clean sheets so far this season; something that has helped the small side from Baden-Württemberg to maintain a mid-table position. The 26-year old is also yet to agree a new deal with his current club, and could move to Frankfurt on a free transfer.

For Daniel Bernhardt, although he has kept six domestic clean sheets, it has been a hard season as his current club VfR Aalen are locked in the midst of a relegation battle.

However, the former Hoffenheim man has proved on numerous occasions throughout the campaign that the struggles of the Scholz Arena side aren't down to poor goalkeeping. If VfR Aalen were to drop into the third tier, Bernhardt could move to FSV Frankfurt on the cheap; something that die Bornheimer are renowned for.
