Despite warming the bench as of late, Borussia Mönchengladbach forward Branimir Hrgota is keen to regain a place in the first team and add to his 12 goals so far this season.

Speaking to Kicker, the Bosnian born Swedish international said, "I have to fight and train harder. Then I come back."

Hrgota has played as an understudy to the in-form Raffael and Max Kruse for much of the season, but this still didn't stop him being Die Fohlen's top scorer in Europe this term with eight goals, including five in qualifying.

In order to give him some play time, manager Lucien Favre tested Hrgota out wide to which he says, "it's not a problem."

"I know what I can do. When I was playing I did my job and scored the goals," he continued.

Hrgota knows himself what he has to do when he gets his next chance in the starting eleven: "I just have to give everything I've got in the tank then everything else comes of its own accord."

He last started in Gladbach's second leg Europa League defeat against Sevilla back in February.
