The 30 year-old Slovakian international has been offered the chance to join high flying Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg when his current deal at Anfield ends in the summer.

Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers is believed to want a fee for the defender resulting in Skrtel moving on from the merseyside club in the summer. Despite the more public speculation on the contract situations of Raheem Sterling and Jordan Henderson, Skrtel is believed to be a "top priority"

German side Wolfsburgm who currently sit in second place in the country's top division, are believed to be interested in making a move for the out of contract defender and have the added advantage of being able to offer guaranteed Champions league football next season.

Having been at Liverpool for seven years it's believed the Slovakian is interested in experience a new league and with Napoli also interested it's certain to be an interesting ongoing story.
