Holger Badstuber has suffered yet another injury in the form of a torn thigh muscle in Bayern München training today and faces between 3-4 months out of action as well as surgery.

"I'm very disappointed at the moment of course. But I'll remain positive and I will come back." Badstuber told the Allianz Arena club's website.

Badstuber spent five hundred and thirty-three consecutive days out injured after rupturing his cruciate ligament in December 2012, he returned to action at the tail end of the 13-14 season but after just a month of this season he was ruled out for 4 months. He came back in January before re-injuring himself in March where he was ruled out for a short period of time.

This season, the twenty-six-year-old centre-half has made a cumulative sixteen appearances across all competitions scoring once. The thirty-one time German International has spent all his senior career with Bayern and his current deal runs until the summer of 2017.
