Bochum welcomed promotion chasing Kaiserslautern to the Rewirpower stadion in hope of pulling off a shock whilst the visitors looked to cement their place in the two automatic promotion places.

Kaiserslautern had a strong penalty claim dismissed by Peter Gagelmann, Zimmer with a dangerous run sent Hofmann through on goal and it seemed as if Fabian brought the attacker down but the referee was having none of it and told Hofmann to get up.
The away side doubled their lead with just over fifteen minutes left, Demirbay after some good play through the penalty box before looping a ball towards the chest of Hofmann the U-21 international used his strenght before bursting the net with a powerful strike.
The away side dominated the rest of the match and made easy work of their win in the end after being pushed for the majority by a strong Bochum team who would be rewing cheap mistakes.
