Lucien Favre's Gladbach side will play to entertain at home in the last game of the Bundesliga season, eyeing up second. Their visitors, Augsburg, know a slip up could see Borussia Dortmund snatch their European spot.

It has been the most memorable of seasons for Borussia Monchengladbach. Following years of mediocrity which had been proceeded by being German Champions, the Foals are back in the top three for the first time since winning it in 2007/08 and have already equaled their points tally in that campaign.

Meanwhile, Augsburg are certain of achieving their best finish ever in the Bundesliga, 6th or 7th. Since getting promoted in 2010/11 they have finished 14th, 15th and 8th. However, they cannot get the record points total they set last season.

KICK-OFF: Saturday 14:30 UK time

What does it mean?

Saturday's kick off in the final Bundesliga game of the season will be key for both sides, but especially Augsburg. Favre's Gladbach will want to prove they are closer to Bayern Munich then most think by finishing second but it lies in Wolfsburg's hands, if they win against 12th placed Koln, second is theirs.

Augsburg know a draw at the Borussia-Park will be enough to stop Borussia Dortmund making a remarkable comeback to finish in the top 6th after being bottom at Christmas. Being behind on goal difference by 6 to Dortmund, a loss against Gladbach and a win in Jurgen Klopp's last Bundesliga game in charge of Dortmund would see them sneak into 6th place.

Form

It is hard to find a better team in terms of form than Borussia Monchengladbach. Since February, they have been unbeaten in the league. Not only unbeaten but winning ten and drawing just three. Last weekend they beat Werder Bremen 2-0, after thrashing top 4 rivals Bayer Leverkusen 3-0.

Gladbach haven't lost at home since November.

Augsburg had a great start to the season but since mid-March have crumbled to drop below Schalke in to sixth. An incredible win against Bayern Munich has been the positive of the last two months but losses to Hannover, Hamburg, Paderborn, Freiburg and Mainz has seen them pick up just eight points in their last nine games.

Gladbach are unbeaten in 13 Bundesliga games for the first time in 33 years.
