SV Sandhausen have announced the signing of a new forward. SV Wehen Wiesbaden striker, José Pierre Vunguidica, has joined the 2. Bundesliga side.

Vunguidica, 25, has notched up 16 appearances for Angola and was a near ever-present for Wehen this season. His ten goals and eleven assists have been a large part of their solid season, and is why he is so highly sought-after.

He had hinted at a move, when he declared: "I was very, very comfortable in Wiesbaden. Though the club can not guarantee me one thing, the 2. Bundesliga."

The Angolan international will provide competition for Aziz Bouhaddouz and Andrew Wooten, who netted 17 goals between them last year - however, there was very little back up for the aforementioned duo.

MSV Duisburg, according to kicker, were favourites but Alois Schwartz's side were able to swoop for him. "We are glad to be able to sign up ourselves a coveted player and are sure that he has with us the next career step succeeds," said managing director, Otmar Schork.
