Borussia Dortmund have finally unveiled their new coach to the media, as Thomas Tuchel took questions from the press on Wednesday morning.

The event was opened by Watzke who would later be quizzed on his thoughts on Sepp Blatter's resignation from FIFA to which he admitted: "Whatever the reason was for Blatter's resignation, it's good for football." Watzke then passed the attention over to Zorc who introduced the new coach by claiming: "Thomas is the logical decision. He has a clear idea of how football should work - both in defence and attack."

But it was all about Tuchel after that, who spoke for a long period on a variety of topics:

On joining Dortmund:

"I'm really happy to be here as BVB coach. I wanted to train a top Bundesliga club, which would challenge for German honors.

"We now have to make up lost ground against the other top teams in Germany: Bayern, Leverkusen, Gladbach and Wolfsburg.

"It's extremely important that we rise to the challenge making up that ground. It's about hard work, courage and tenacity. I know I can rely on this club.

"The trust from this club was an important factor in my decision to come here. It was a massive factor that Dortmund is such a massive football city.

"I'm an emotional coach and that speaks to me."

[The omission of Schalke 04 from that list will certainly please his new fans]

On the squad and style of play:

"There is a great squad here. Less is more in terms of players. What I want first is to form my own impressions.

"Dortmund represent an attacking and proactive type of football. We want to dominate play and I look forward to seeing it."

On his predecessor:

"Jürgen Klopp was more than a coach here. He had seven unbelievable successful years."

On his sabbatical:

"I needed to switch off at the start of my year off. I'd had 14 straight years of coaching and needed time to reflect.

"I had a holiday, I spent time with the family. I learned to take my time and enjoy things on my year off."
