Eintracht Braunschweig have announced the return of Jasmin Fejzic, from VfR Aalen, after over five years away from the club.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper played for the Lions between 2007 and 2009, before going on to play for SpVgg Greuther Fürth and then Aalen.

"It's no secret that we would have liked to have kept him six years ago, because we are aware of his sporting and personal qualities," said sporting director, Marc Arnold.

"He has made another step in his development in recent years and was in the Bosnia and Herzegovina World Cup squad last year.

"With him, Rafal Gikiewicz and Marcel Engelhardt, we are well positioned for the future in this position," he added.

Fezjic has now signed a two-year deal with the Eintracht Stadion outfit, who admitted: "For me it was immediately clear that I would accept the offer.

"It's great that I have the opportunity to return to Braunschweig and I am looking forward to the next two years.

"Since my departure I have always followed the development of Eintracht," he concluded.

The Bosnian joins Patrick Schönfeld, Phil Ofosu-Ayeh and Adam Matuschyk as the new arrivals in Lower Saxony.
