Germany under-20s maintained their 100% record in the group games, by beating Honduras under-20s 5-1. Goals from Marc Stendera, Julian Brandt, Hany Mukhtar, Grischa Prömel and Niklas Stark canceled out Marvin Schwäbe's unfortunate own goal.

After remaining unchanged through wins against Fiji and Uzbekistan, Frank Wormuth finally opted for some alterations in their final group game.

Julian Weigl and Maximilian Wittek, who arrived late after club duty, replaced Ville Steinmann and Robert Bauer, respectively.

For Honduras and Jorge Jimínez, they also made changes to try and make amends for the defeat to Fiji.

Roberto Lopez, Dabirson Castillo and Devron Garcia all started, meaning Crisitian Hernández, Marcelo Pereira and Alberth Elis had to settle for a place on the bench.

Things couldn't have started much better from a German point of view, as Levin Öztunali was hauled down inside the area after less than a minute.

Marc Stendera was tasked with putting the spot-kick away, and he duly sent Roberto Lopez the wrong way to keep up his record of scoring in every game.

It was Germany's best start to a game in the entire tournament, though it was also very physical - Stendera and Jhonatan Paz both picked up early bookings.

Honduras hadn't threatened at all in the opening twenty minutes and things were going to plan for Wormuth, only for a freak goal to level the game once more.

Bryan Róchez, the Hondurans' danger-man, connected brilliantly with a cross and his volleyed-effort smashed against the post.

The rebound cannoned in off Marvin Schwäbe's back and trickled into the net, giving Honduras a shock leveller.

Róchez almost scored a similar goal again, this time chesting the ball down before volleying just wide from outside the area.

Kevin López headed inches wide of the post moments later, and he was made to pay for that miss immediately.

Stendera spun around in the midfield and was able to send Julian Brandt racing through on goal.

The Bayer Leverkusen man kept calm and confidently chipped over the advancing Roberto Lopez to restore Germany's lead.

Róchez had another chance late on in the half but Kevin Akpoguma did fantastically well to snuff out the chance and preserve their one-goal cushion into the break.

Hany Mukhtar also spurned a good opportunity on the break, capping a thoroughly entertaining first half.

Both teams made changes at half-time. Elder Torres came on for Carlos Moncada, while Jeremey Dudziak replaced Stendera.

Mukhtar didn't have to wait long until he got on the scoresheet and equal Stendera's four goal tally, as his deflected free-kick wrong-footed Lopez and made it 3-1 to Germany.

That goal seemed to take the sting out of the game, though Germany were not finished there.

Grischa Prömel made a Michael Ballack-esque run onto the ball at the edge of the box, and slotted home into the bottom corner to score Germany's fourth.

To their credit Honduras did try to push forward, in search of a way back into the game. Unfortunately for them, Jhow Benavídez's passes were cut out at the crucial moment.

Jhonatan Paz compounded matters when he saw red late on, picking up his second booking for bringing down Öztunali.

Germany took full advantage from the corner, after Dudziak's free-kick caught the wall, and Niklas Stark was on hand to poke him his third of the tournament.

The result meant that Germany, as expected, topped Group F and will face the second-placed team in Group E.

As for Honduras, despite a promising start and a battling performance for large parts of this game, return home after just three games and three points.
