SpVgg Greuther Fürth have made yet another addition to their squad this week, as Jurgen Gjasula arrives from VfR Aalen.

The 29-year-old was never really keen on dropping to the 3. Liga, as Aalen finished bottom of the 2. Bundesliga.

He arrives with bundles of experience, having scored 18 goals in 124 second division appearances.

Gjasula has also featured seven times in the Bundesliga with 1. FC Kaiserslautern. and will bring his creativity and dead-ball threat to the Trolli-Arena.

That was something that sporting director, Michael Mutzel, was keen to emphasise:

"He has great quality from set-piece situations. We are delighted that he has chosen us."

The Albanian-German added: "For me, Fürth is a prime location in the 2. Bundesliga, so I am looking forward to the transfer.

"I want to give everything here to help ensure that we achieve our goals."

Gjasula becomes Fürth's third summer signing, after Domi Kumbela and Marcel Franke joined early in the week.

As for Aalen, they have already lost Phil Ofosu-Ayeh, Jasmin Fejzic and Collin Quaner and more seem set to follow.

To make matters worse, Stefan Ruthenbeck seems set to join Gjasula at the Shamrocks - the Aalen boss publicly admitted he wanted to take over.
