Will Bayern Munich confirm their first summer signing soon? Torino's Matteo Darmian has been linked with a move to Munich for quite some time now. Depending on which media reports you believe, Bayern have added the Italian International to their hit-list of defensive targets for the summer.

According to Italian media outlet Tuttosport, Darmian is very close to a move to the Säbener Straße. The German champions are ready to pay a fee of €16m, plus bonuses, for the 25-year-old.

Italian newspapers have reported about Bayern's interest in the right-back, who made his debut for Italy in May 2014, for quite some time, but now he seems to be a definite target. Torino president Urbano Cairo was reported to demand a fee of €20m, but Bayern didn't want to make an offer of that magnitude.

Torino and Bayern's representatives have already found an agreement in the last few days, Tuttosport understands. Darmian is expected to snub the interest of Napoli, Barcelona and Galatasaray, who were also linked with a move for him recently.

The right-back of an Armenian origin played 46 matches for Torino in Serie A and Europa League this season, scoring twice and assisting one goal.

At Bayern, Darmian could become an alternative to Rafinha, who played as a right-back in the most important matches in Bundesliga and Champions League.

His back-up, Sebastian Rode, wants to play in midfield more often, and Mitchell Weiser could leave the club.

However, Tuttosport say that Darmian could be not the only Bayern signing from Italy - as they are strongly interested in his teammates, Kamil Glik and Bruno Peres.

Incidentally, Darmian's replacement at FC Torino could come from Germany: Leverkusen's Giulio Donati has emerged as the Italian side's top target.
