1860 Munich have signed up Romuald Lacazette on a two-year deal following a successful trial spell.

The 21-year-old has been with the Lions in their training camp in Bad Häring since the start and has made a big impression on the Bavarians' hierarchy. He has been handed the number 38 at his new club.

A central midfielder by trade, who can also play in a more defensive role, was a member of Paris Saint-Germain's second-string squad last season. He managed to make the bench twice for the senior team, but never got onto the pitch.

Lacazette, who is the cousin of Olympique Lyon's highly sought-after Alexandre, also featured twice for the French under-18 side - suggesting that there is plenty of promise for Torsten Fröhling to work with.

"Romuald's young, talented and has shown his strong desire in this period. Therefore, it is an opportunity for both him and for us," said sporting director Gerhard Poschner on the move.

Plenty of transfer action for 1860 this summer

It is a replacement for the recently departed Edu Bedia, who joined recently promoted Liga Adelante side Real Oviedo a few days ago. Bedia is the first of the three Spanish players who are expected to leave the club this summer. Rodri and Ilie Sanchez, according to liga-zwei.de, will also exit.

Julian Weigl, Bobby Wood, Martin AghaAnthony AnnanMoritz Volz and Sebastian Hertner have already departed, leaving the club looking slightly thing and the aforementioned Spaniards leaving would only exacerbate the problem.

1860 completed just two signings before Lacazette's arrival, Rodnei and Milos Degenek, so bringing in more attack-minded players will be key to avoiding a repeat of last term's disappointing 16th-place finish.

Piotr Trochowski and Andreas Ivanschitz are two names in the hat for that role, although details are scarce on whether they can be tempted to join the 2. Bundesliga side.
