The four Bundesliga sides involved in the Champions League in 2015/16, Bayern Munich, VfL Wolfsburg, Mönchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen, found out who they will face in the group stage.

Bayern face pleasant path to knockout stage

Starting with the 2014-15 German champions, Bayern were drawn in Group F having been in Pot 1 as expected as one of Europe's elite sides.

The Bavarians will face English opposition in Arsenal in a rematch from the 2013/14 group stage, from which Bayern took four points from Wenger's men including a 2-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium.

Bayern Munich will also face Olympiakos from Greece in the first meeting between the sides since 1981, where Bayern won 7-2 on aggregate in the first round stage of the European Cup.

Dinamo Zagreb will also be in Group F, as the they will do battle with Bayern for the first time in over 50 years, the last time being in 1963 in the quarter-finals of the Europa League, where the Croatian side ran out 4-1 aggregate victors.

Wolfsburg face tough but not impossible test to progress

VfL Wolfsburg, the runners up from last year's Bundesliga, were drawn against giants Manchester United in a repeat of the 2009/10 group draw. United won 2-1 at Old Trafford and 3-1 in Wolfsburg.

Remarkably, VfL will also face CSKA Moscow, another opponent they met in the 2009/10 Champions League group stage. Incredibly, the results were 2-1 and 3-1 between the sides also, with Wolfsburg winning 3-1 at home and the Russians victorious 2-1 in Moscow.

PSV Eindhoven will be the final opponents in Group B; the teams will face each other competitively for the first time.

'Gladbach face 'group of death'

Borussia Mönchengladbach face a very tough route if they are to progress from their group, as they face Italian champions Juventus. The teams met back in 1976 in the round of 16 of the European Cup, with Juventus eliminated 4-2 over two legs.

Manchester City will also provide a very tough test for 'Gladbach. They haven't faced one another since 1979 when City went out 4-2 in the UEFA Cup.

Europa League champions Sevilla are the final opponent for BMG, a rematch of the round of 32 of the 2014/15 Europa League when the Spanish side progressed 4-2 on aggregate en-route to defending their crown.

Leverkusen face Camp Nou trip

Bayer Leverkusen face Spanish champions FC Barcelona for the first time since 2012, when they were humiliatingly beaten 7-1 by the Catalans away from home, resulting in a 10-2 aggregate exit from the last eight stage of the Champions League.

AS Roma will also be a very tough test for Leverkusen, marking the first meeting in more than a decade.

BATE Borisov are the final opponent for B04, the two sides facing each other for the first time, meaning it will likely be between Bayer and Roma for that second spot.
