Werder Bremen have confirmed that Izet Hajorovic will spend the the rest of the 2015-16 season on loan at SD Eibar. The Bundesliga side confirmed that there is no option to buy in the arranged deal.

An attempt to get back on track

Hajrovic showed plenty of potential while at Grasshoppers Zürich and with the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, but has failed to show that potential with Bremen and previously Galatasary. After paying a small fee for him, he made just eight appearances for the Turkish side and was quickly let go to on a free transfer after a complaint to FIFA about payments.

Bremen snapped him up on a free transfer and he featured 19 times for Viktor Skrypnyk's side and scored one goal. He has also featured regularly for Bosnia and was part of the side that traveled to Brazil for the 2014 World Cup. Now, as he heads off to Spain, both Werder and Eibar will be hoping he performs to the level they know he can and ensure that he reaches his potential.

Eichin and Schröder have their say

Thomas Eichin commented on the deal, saying: "With this move we are hoping that Izet will be able to fulfil his potential in a new environment and in a different playing system." He reinforced the confidence the club have in him also, "We have faith in him. He has already proven his ability many times for the national team."

Sporting director Rouven Schröder added: "We have come to know Izet as an ambitious player and a good lad. He always works hard for the team." Like his colleague, he also spoke about how much belief the Weserstadion faithful have in him, "We also know how much potential he has and we hope that he will return to us a stronger player. We will track his progress closely in he Spanish top flight."
