Bruno Labbadia's men make the long journey Southwards to the heart of Bavaria to take on Ralph Hasenhüttl's FC Ingolstadt 04 at the Audi Sportpark in the first round of matches in the iconic English Week throughout the Bundesliga. Die Schanzer are on high after a late 1-0 victory away to Werder Bremen at the weekend; whilst die Rothosen were in action at the Volksparkstadion, where they endured a goal-less draw with Eintracht Frankfurt.

FC Ingolstadt 04 team news

For Ralph Hasenhüttl and FC Ingolstadt 04 it's been a start to their first ever Bundesliga season that they could've only dreamed of as they were promoted after having beaten RB Leipzig in May. Die Schanzer have so far amassed a total of ten points, which has included victories at FC Augsburg and a draw with VfL Wolfsburg; they currently sit in 5th position heading into Tuesday eve's game. Infact, FC Ingolstadt 04 became the first ever promoted side to win their first three Bundesliga away games after Moritz Hartmann's late penalty at the Weserstadion.

However in a slight concern die Schanzer are still without a goal at the Audi Sportpark having recorded a 0-0 draw with Dieter Hecking's side and the only negative of the campaign so far, a 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Borussia Dortmund.

There are no new injury concerns for Hasenhüttl, as the Austrian is still without Danilo Soares, Almog Cohen and Konstantin Engel. Therefore Markus Suttner is expected to continue at left back, whilst Tobias Levels will also play at Suttner's opposite.

Predicted line-up: Özcan; Levels, Matip, Hübner, Suttner; Roger, Groß, Morales; Lex, Hinterseer, Leckie.

HSV team news

From the relative turmoil of the last few seasons, it's safe to say that the start to the season has been a good one for all concerned at die Rothosen. The Volksparkstadion side have recorded victories against VfB Stuttgart and Borussia Mönchengladbach and look a completely different side from the one that escaped relegation by the skin of their teeth, in an extra time victory over Karlsruhe SC.

Bruno Labbadia also has no new injury concerns and die Rothosen's only absentee is Albin Ekdal who missed the weekends game against die Adler and is not fit for the clash with Hasenhüttl's side.

Aaron Hunt, who has had a superb impact since his deadline day move from VfL Wolfsburg will play behind Pierre Michel Lasogga once more; the former Hertha BSC man has two goals in his last two. The pair are expected to be flanked by Nicolai Müller and Ivo Illicevic; the Croat in particular with a great start to the season.

Predicted line-up: Drobny; Diekmeier, Djourou, Spahic, Ostrzolek; Holtby, Kacar; Müller, Hunt, Illicevic; Lasogga.

Previous meetings

In die Schanzer's relatively short history there has only been one meeting between the two sides, which came back in 2008 in the DFB Pokal first round. die Rothosen overcame the then 2. Bundesliga side three goals to one. FC Ingolstadt 04 had taken the lead through Ersin Demir before two Ivica Olic and a Paolo Guerrero goals sent the visitors through to the next round.
