Bayen Munich has dropped a mere two points to start the Bundesliga season with 14 matches played and knocked off Hertha BSC by a score of 2-0 at the Allianz Arena with Thomas Müller and Kingsly Coman finding the back of the net.

Hertha lined up very defensively, setting up with five at the back instead of their normal back four, Pal Dardai deployed five in the back and four in the midfield in order to try to clog up any space the hosts may have been able to operate and use their creativity.

With Douglas Costa out of the starting eleven due to a musclar injury, Coman got his chance to show what he is capable of doing. He raced up and down the pitch, creating havoc and being in the right places at the right times thanks to his outstanding awareness which was evident on the goal.

It took all but ten minutes for Bayern to break down the visitors defense with Philip Lahm sending Robert Lewandoswki in behind only for the strikerr's shot to smack back off the post -- Coman could not connect on the rebound in what could have been a perfect start for Bayern. Rune Jarstein was forced to make his first save 16 minutes in as Lewandowski had his header saved very well.

In the 29th minute, Martinez shows off his fantastic vision and passing ability, threading the needle to Lewandowski. However, the assistant referee had flagged the Polish international for being ahead of the defense ever so slightly.

Bayern score two goals to control match

34 minutes into the night is when Bayern opened the scoring and it came off of a corner kick. Xabi Alonso sent in an excellent delivery where Medhi Benatia met it at the near post and headed it straight into the path of Müller.

Only seven minutes had ticked off the clock when Bayern scored their second goal of the opening half through the young Coman. Alex Vidal played a ball over the top towards Javi Martinez whose sublime volleyed pass into the path of the 19-year-old left the Juventus loanee with little to do, finding the back of the net with ease.

Halftime: Bayern Munich 2-0 Hertha BSC

The best chance after the halftime interval came nine minutes after the restart. Again, it was Lewandowski who got himself in a favorable position eight yards away from goal. He chested the ball down, hit his effort first-time, but straight at the Hertha goalkeeper which is a rarity for someone of his calibre to do.

In the end, there was really only one team in this match. The visitors were ever on the ball in a good attacking positition and this meant that Bayern would have the majority of the chances; Pep's squad had 13 total shots with six of them going on target.

Hertha are beating the teams of lower standard, which is what any coach would hope to happen. However, in order to really prove they belong at the top, the blue and white stripes will have to start beating the other clubs near the top and that will come sooner rather than later.
