It's that time of year once again when the Bundesliga gets underway and for Borussia Dortmund, it is incredibly important that they get off to a perfect start when they host FSV Mainz 05 on Saturday at Signal Iduna Park.
Dortmund finished second last season 10 points behind Bayern Munich, who won the title for the fourth successive year, so they will be hoping they get off to a flying start this weekend and try and put some early pressure on the Bavarians.
On the other hand, Mainz had a brilliant season last year, finishing six in the league which meant they qualified for the UEFA Europa League and they will be looking to maintain their success this year.
The game between these sides will see former Mainz manager Thomas Tuchel, who spent five years at the club from 2009 to 2014, take charge of the men in yellow for the second successive season which adds a bit extra to the affair.

Both sides come into the game on the back of victories in the DFB Pokal first round last weekend. Dortmund were impressive as they defeated Eintracht Trier 3-0 and they will be looking to continue such form into this encounter.
Before that game though, the home side had lost 2-0 to Bayern in the German Super Cup, the result arguably undeserved as they dominated the game throughout.
Mainz scraped through against fourth-tier side SpVgg Unterhaching on penalties after drawing 3-3 in regular time and they will be looking to step it up as they look to cause a surprise this weekend.
The corresponding fixture between these sides last season ended in a 2-0 win for Dortmund with goals that day coming from Marco Reus and Shinji Kagawa.
Overall, Dortmund have the edge over their counterparts winning eleven, drawing six and losing just the three matches of the twenty meetings they have played against each other.

The hosts will be without a number of key players for the game with Marco Reus likely to miss out once again as he recovers from injury.
Neven Subotic and right-back Erik Durm will also miss the game with long-term injuries while Matthias Ginter and Sven Bender are unavailable.
The pair are to be rested after their time in Rio for the Olympic games, where they lost to hosts Brazil on penalties in the final.
The visitors will also be without a few players for the game also with forward Emil Berggreen, who is yet to make an appearance since signing in January, missing out due to injury.
Jairo Samperio, Danny Latza and Niki Zimling are also absentwirh injury, which will be sure to give Martin Schmidt a selection headache over who to pick.
