The Serie A's current top two will meeting at the Juventus Stadium, in a fixture which could be an early indication of who will wear the Scudetto crest on their shirts next season.

With 6 wins from 7 and only two points dropped so far, it seems hard to believe that La Vecchia Signora have yet to hit top form yet. A rust ridden showing away to Siena before the international break indicated that the Champions League commitments of this season, are having a detrimental effect on the high intensity style of play which served Juventus so well last season. Even during the international break, the majority of Juve's squad were forced to play two competitive games in the space of five days; leaving Gianluigi Buffon, Mirko Vucinic and Claudio Marchisio doubtful for the Napoli game.

The Siena game however, was a fixture which the Juventus of last season may not have collected all three points from, proving that although their intensity may have dropped in recent weeks, the "grinta" is an ever-present.

Napoli have so far matched Juventus stride for stride this season, and look like the only genuine threat to Juve's Scudetto retainment. The form of Hamsik, has changed Napoli from being a European spot contender to a Scudetto contender this season. With the addition of consistency to his play, the Slovakian national is now arguably the Serie A's prized possession.

His goal, and Pandev's goal in the 2-1 victory over Udinese kept Napoli at the top of the pile alongside Juventus, and over the past number of weeks it is Napoli who have been the more impressive of the two Scudetto pretenders.

Mazzari only has one injury concern in the shape of Miguel Britos, who will be assessed before the fixture in Turin.

Judging by the Coppa Italia and the Super Cup fixtures, calcio lovers can expect to see a high scoring, high tempo and high intesity game between the Peninsula's greatest.
