A.C Milan have decided to stay faithful to manager Massimiliano Allegri and have given him a new contract until the end of the 2014/15 season, according to the club's official channel.

Various media outlets have claimed that the Rossoneri have looked to replace the 45 year old, however the former Cagliari boss will not be leaving his post at the San Siro and instead maintain his managerial role.

It has been said that Paris Saint Germain and, on a more frequent basis, AS Roma were hot on his tail and prepared to make him an offer to take the reins at their respective clubs as soon as Milan had sorted out the situation between the two parties.

Club Owner Silvio Berlusconi had put off talks with Allegri on various occasions, however held crunch talks with the Coach and Vice President Adriano Galliani at his villa in Arcore.

"With Galliani and Allegri, we had a frank and cordial discussion in we revisited ad analysed the past season, so there was a clarification on certain things. We reached an agreement on the rights and duties of the club towards the Coach and the Coach towards the club. We also talked about the type of football that Milan must play and the squad next season, setting out guidelines for the transfer session. The rapport with the Coach, which has never been interrupted, continues with faith and in absolute reciprocal respect." said Berlusconi.
