Marco Verratti's agent, Donato Di Campli, has today revealed that Paris Saint-Germain have received an offer from Napoli, for the services of his client: "This morning a monstrous offer arrived courtesy of Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis."

Yesterday, Di Campli also stated that Fiorentina and Juventus are monitoring Marco Verratti, in the midst of new contract negotiations: "We are asking for an improved deal because Juventus and Fiorentina both covet the player."

Although an agreement between Verratti and PSG is a long way off, Di Campli is confident that the player will remain in Paris: "We are far from an agreement, but Marco [Verratti] will remain... they [PSG] are willing to double his salary."

The Azzurri international signed a five year deal with Paris Saint-Germain last summer, when he was signed for a reported £12 million from Pescara.  He made 39 appearances in all competitions last season, helping his new club win the Ligue 1 title.

Verrati made his debut for Italy in August 2012, and scored his first international goal in February 2013.
