According to the Italian soccer site, TuttoMercatoWeb, Gervinho has agreed to a four years deal with AS Roma. The negotiations about the price are still ongoing, as Arsenal are demanding €8 million, whilst Roma are only willing to offer €7million.

The Ivorian international's salary has been reported to be set at roughly €2.7 million a year.

Gervinho had previously suggested he wanted to stay at the Emirates Stadium and fight for his place, but Wenger is ready to cash in as part of a huge squad clear out.

The move would see the 26-year-old reunited with his former Lille manager Rudi Garcia, after he became Roma manager in June.

A.S. Roma are looking to rebuild under Rudi Garcia, after a number of years of struggles under the likes of Zeman and Enrique. The club have already signed Kevin Strootman for the midifield, as well as Mehdi Benatia from Udinese, as a replacement for Marquinhos.
