Amidst reported interest from the likes of Manchester United, Claudio Marchisio has committed his future to Juventus: I’ve been playing for Juventus for 20 years and for the last seven years, I have been linked to other clubs in the transfer market. Obviously I’m not denying that it is nice to see my name linked with other clubs, and with some of the most important and renowned in the world. It is something to be proud of, but I haven’t spoken to anyone and I’m not aware of any concrete offers... My dream is still to end my career with Juventus."

Marchisio revealed in his interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, his disappointment at the fact that his club did not squash the rumours that he was to leave the club: "To be honest, I was a little disappointed when the club [Juventus] did not respond to the rumours linking me with a move away."

The 27 year old also took the time to talk about the club's aspirations for the 2013/14 season: “We have a great squad. The older players and the new arrivals know what we have to do to win. This season, thanks to the new arrivals and the experience we acquired last season, we’ll approach the Champions League in a more decisive manner. We are aware of our strengths.”

Claudio Marchisio has played 213 games for Juventus, scoring 28 goals and setting up a further 23 in the process.
