Week 2 in the Serie A was like nothing that has been seen in its recent history. Gone was boring (albeit successful) catenaccio, and in its place was a tactically beautiful offensive display that put up 43 goals over 10 matches. That's absolutely absurd. Be that as it may, finding defenders for our side wasn't exactly as easy as it might seem in this historically defensive league.  Myself, along with fellow Serie A experts Jack Gallagher, and Daniel Andrews combined wits to arrive with the following squad.

As mentioned, defense was not easy to come by, but that didn't stop Atalanta from putting on a fine display and keeping one of only 3 clean sheets in week 2. This was enough to give goalkeeper Andrea Consigli the nod in the side, as he made 3 saves and completed 85% of his passes out of the back. Fellow defender Guglielmo Stendardo made two tackles and chipped in with goal to do his part in the effort and earn man of the match honours. Hugo Campagnaro's Inter were one of the other two sides to keep a clean sheet, and the former Naples man played a big role in doing so as he was solid in the back throughout. Leonardo Bonucci of Juventus did his best Andrea Pirlo impersonation providing two assists from the halfway line, as well as lead the back for his team.

In midfield Maicon had a very nice match for Roma at RWB with some great attacking movement down the right (as he usually does), and was unlucky not to have a deflected shot counted as a goal towards his own stats. Yuto Nagatomo had a fantastic match for Inter on the left with a goal and an assist at LWB, while Arturo Vidal of Juventus converted one of Bonucci's long balls into a goal, as well as lovely Pogba pass as well, in addition to his usual tireless running. Marek Hamsik continued his torrid run of fantastic form for Napoli bagging another brace and inspiring the Azzurri to yet another impressive win, and lastly Miralem Pjanic placed his bid for goal of the season with this lovely chip to cap off a fantastic performance for Capital side Roma.

The strike force is made up of this seaon's revelation Giuseppe Rossi, who grabbed a brilliant brace for Fiorentina enroute to a 5-2 thrashing of Genoa, and evergreen Roma captain Francesco Totti, who could have had 10 assists on Sunday had someone taught Gervinho to finish, or if Garcia had just removed him and played with 10 men.
